On Tuesday we decided to see London by boat, the weather forcast was not good but we set off anyway.
First stop was Westminster where we got off and walked around the Houses of Parliment, the politicians were not sitting as it is their summer holiday but the security was still very high. We went over to Westminster Abbey and there was a huge crowd waiting to get in so we decided to give it a miss.
Back onto the boat and went up to Grenwich, this time we had a commentary by the skipper which was very amusing, it really made our day. By the time we got there it was drizzling with rain but we walked to the Museum at the top, what a hill to climb it was very steep but the views from the top were amazing. We didn't get any photo's though as the battery in the camera had gone flat..........forgot to take the charger, lesson learnt for our trip to Europe.
We walked back down to the village and had some lunch then back onto the boat to Tower Hill wharf, the rain had set in by now so we just went back to our hotel.
Wednesday we got the train back to Letchworth to get prepared for our trip to Europe, we leave on Saturday so probably won't be able to update until we return on the 03/08.
