Well here we are in downtown London. Can't believe it really we have to pinch each other just to make sure it is real.

We have had a quiet couple of weeks, have caught the bus a few times into Letchworth and Hitchin for a mooch and had a lovely BBQ at Anne & Paul's last weekend which was lovely. The weather since then has been a bit up and down.....not so hot and showery.

We went out for dinner last night with Colin & Sheila to the Royal Oak for our Anniversay and David's birthday and had a lovely meal.

We caught the train to London today and then onto the Underground to our accomodation "The Grange Hotel" which is very nice....5 star, we went for a walk and had lunch at a nice little pub and watched the cricket then the rain stopped play......bloody raining again.....so we headed back to the hotel and found a Sainsbury's supermarket and bought some goodies and you won't believe it but I got a bottle of Oyster Bay for £8.99. So we are sitting here watching the cricket in our room and I have a glass of wine.........and David has had a little sleep and it looks like it is going to rain yet again........it is summer right????

We are off sightseeing tomorrow, going to The Tower of London, lunch at Harrods with David's neice Kim and then on to Buck Palace to see if Lizzy is in......she was at the Cricket today so hopefully she is home tomorrow.
