Pretty standard unemployed week in Toronto this week. We got back to our apartment from our delayed flight from Washington at around midday on Tuesday and basically had time to unpack and eat before we were getting changed for a rum networking event. It was a fun night, but we found it's too hard for us to move around and meet lots of people (which is the point of it) when we go as a couple so we'll have to consider another strategy next time. Wednesday night was date night at Onoir which is a restaurant that is pitch black throughout the meal. Was a great experience and the food was delicious, but probably wouldn't make it our regular. On Thursday we spontaneously booked a trip to Cuba for the next week because we haven't got anything better to do (AND it was discounted by 70%!). On Friday Van did some shopping and Matt made his softball debut which he wasn't totally hopeless at and Saturday we went and watched Daniela dragon boating on Toronto Island with Gordon. We will definitely have to head back there on a quieter day for a picnic. Really nice little island.
