This morning we woke up and MB packed her bags. Neatly stacked on the bed was a healthy reminder that soon her part of this amazing adventure is going to come to a close.
We first went to crispy cream and then picked up her bike from the shop. They were awesome and gave her a set of xo levers and cleaned it! Next stop was seaport village. This is where the famous kissing statue used to be. It was filled with mom and pop shops, as well as different types of eateries. MB found the softest hoodie in all the land which she bought me for my birthday out of sizing issues. For once being short has its adavantages :) It's a pretty sweet hoodie.
We decided to have a margarita and enjoy the now purchased ed of the classical muisician playing in the circle. On the way back to the house we drove through the gas lamp district which is where all of the bars and clubs are located and the downtown of San Diego. San Diego has saved California for me. Thank God. We stopped at the house and loaded the car to get MB to the airport.
The 15 minute drive to the airport was full of pep talks and long sighs. A tearful goodbye indicated the first leg of the trip has come officially come to a close. MB is off to reality as I drive away with an atlas to fill her seat. I am honored and blessed to be accompianied by such a beautiful soul on this incredible adventure. Mary Beth is an awesome human being that I look forward to more adventures with in the future.
After solving the ticketing snaffu and getting MB onto her flight I ran some errands before heading back to the house. After about 30 minutes it hit me, the amazing journey of a little bit of buzz and a lot of delirium had officially come to an end.
No more 20 day abs, but I am lookng forward to the next phase of my adventure with Jason. I miss his company and cant wait to see him tomorrow. The rest of the evening we just chilled out and played two square. Heather and I rode bikes to pick up a 6 pack. This is a much needed reset for the remainder of the trip.
