After the longest breakfast of my life we hit the road to head for San Francisco. We opted to take the coastal route which added some more time to our hungover drive. We both felt like we had 20lbs of grapes the previous day. After adventuring through northern California we both decided its nice to visit, but neither of us would want to live here.
San Francisco feels like the New York City of the west without the high fashion. It is a very windy city. We checked out the Golden Gate Bridge on our way into the city. It is pretty amazine the entire structure is held up with cables. We then checked into our hotel which is essentially a hostel with a bed, shelving, private bathroom, microwave, and small exterior sink. Our hotel is located in the mission disrict which has a heavy latino population.
We met Jess and Koshi at a bar called the Sycamore which had a great beer selection and a back patio. I also convinced a neighboring party to buy us a round for moving table for them. We decided to check out Jess and Koshi's pad in the city. On the way we walked up, and down hills past Dolores Park which has 'hippster hill' 'homo hill' and 'hippie hill' which is self segregated across the hillside.
Jess and Koshi live in a one room studio apartment. This is why I don't live in the city, I have too much stuff. We hung out and checked out Koshi's camera and hat collection and then headded out for sushi. Ordering sushi with someone who is asian is the way to go. It was awesome. The entire 3X2 tray will cleared in a matter of moments. We also went to the 'PIE [symbol]' bar. I totally kicked the pooch my favorite sierra nevada product was on tap, and I missed it. They ran out by the time we made it back for a second round.
Jess dropped us on mission streen and we worked our way back to the hotel. We had a perverbial night hat and went to bed.
