Day 31. Early start to another cool day, in order to get to Normanton to catch the Gulflander, the train that runs from nowhere to nowhere and has done for 120 years! It was built to connect the port of Normanton to the gold fields of Croydon. The sleepers are steel and have remained train worthy for 120 years! Our carriage was 60 years old, in beautiful condition and the train driver clearly loved his trains and the line. Well worth the trip.
