Day 4 - Today started early with a trip to the market at L'Isle sur la Sorgue. Our early rise paid off and we managed to get a parking space alongside the river just moments from the market. The market is a mix of antiques, clothes, food (fruit, vegetables, breads, meats and cheese), jewellery and other miscellaneous items. The market is spread across many streets of the town, centred along the river and streets off to the side.
We whiled away at least two hours in the market, during which time it became busier with the streets becoming packed with tourist and locals. After purchasing various items we headed out of the market. Just on the edge of the market was a man selling two piglets and a kitten. The piglets looked very cute. Not sure what our two mutts would think of them. We popped along to the Intermarche for a few more provisions before heading back to the Gite. The dogs were of course overjoyed to see us back; its just too hot today for them to come with us. Lunch beckons (and possibly a nap) before we head up into Gordes for the evening.
