Hey everyone

Today was job day... The first of a few job days (so don't expect anything too exciting).

In the morning Christina prepared her CV on the computers in the hostel, and applied for some jobs online. We then headed out to go find some temp job agencies... But didn't have much luck. Because it was Saturday many were closed, so after searching for some time, we decided a change of plan was necessary. Alex decided to go over to Circular Quay, to ask if they wanted to hire him as a restaurant magician, and Christina went back to the hostel to job hunt online. To cut thing short, neither of us had much luck (sigh). Only one restaurant was even vaguely interested in hiring a magician, and Alex returned to find Christina sat on her bed reading her book, looking rather depressed.

To cheer ourselves up after a boring day, we decided to go out to the Opera House in the evening, to see the harbour area lit up in the dark. We found a bench and sat in silence for a while, trying not to think about jobs and instead just relaxing in the glow of the harbour.

We went back to the hostel and to bed, hoping tomorrow would be more fun... Xxx
