Hello hello!! Well first of all apologies for the lack of communication!!! Has been impossible to get to internet for past few weeks!!! Travelling got off to a bit of a bad start!! First of all I left for Trivandupuram, checked into a rather nice hotel- awaiting to meet my friends- whom were travelling down South from the North- who then got stuck 10 hours North of the city for two days due to cyclonic weather!! So I had a choice I could either pay more money for extra nights in this hotel or move in with this really cool family for a few days!! I chose the family- and although a little restricting at times and much like living in a prison- it was most definately the right decision!! Living in a family gave me the insight into an indian family I wanted, found it all very fascinating watching the cooking preparations!! I think the famiyl experience was far more valuable than the travelling anyway!! When we were allowed out, we went to the most amazing temple- complete with an elephant and all!! Really great to finally see a temple!! At the end of the first week- weather got really bad in the route I was planning to travel, so decided to travel with another friend around the local areas- I say local , more liek 6 hours away!! Lots of fab beaches and many moree temples!! Had my palm read- apparently I will have five children and be the top of my profession- so that is nice to know!! After one week in the family- it was time to move in with another family- the mum is a nurse and husband a doctor- looked after me very well!! Took me to many waterfalls, saw lots of monkeys!! Then the last couple of weeks have been a bit rubbish- as have managed to get food poisoning 3 times- lots of vomiting made it difficult to venture out and lead me not to trust any food preparations!!So have spent a very hungry few days!! It is horrible having to eat food when you feel ill- but the doc will not let me go with out!! She still is the amazing woman I felt she was at the beginning and has taught me so much!!! The last few days - I have secretly been visiting all my friends for the last time around the local area!! Lovely people- foul spicy food!! I cannot believe my time is almost over!! Really sad to be leaving the placement, have had lots of fun here!! Will miss all the babies- have had a couple of sci kbabies whom have looked after!! So really sorry to leave them!!
