Hey!! So I enjoyed a very relaxing weekend at a beach resort in Kovalam in Kerala the next state!! It took over 7 hours to get there and involved 4 bus changes and a taxi!! All that travelling for under 2 pounds!!! So when we arrived there our taxi drops us off at the fooot of the beach, in pitch black I might add, and then it was up to us to find our hotel!! Anyway eventually we found it and it was off to the rooftop restaurant to experience some of the best seafood in the world!!! It was funny because Flicky and I were sitting amongst 5 different honey mooning couples- so yeah not at all awkard!! Then Saturday morning we just went swimming in the sea- it was so nice to be free from our covering up respectable clothes!! Having said that I might add- do not wear bikinis when the waves are that strong!!! Then it was just chilling on the beach!! However it is difficult to chill when you have the constant pestering from mango ladies and gentlemen selling sarongs!! Anyway my friends were still in the sea at this point so I ended up having a circle of them- just chatting at me- "come on darling- buy some mango, it's been a very hard season for us, my husband just died- and all that!! So anyway then I bought some mangoes to keep them happy- but ooooo no I ended up with a whole bunch of bananas, a coconut, some oil, a papaya- and she threw in a tangerine for good measure- great I thought-not!! Then I ended up with 4 sarongs!! Nevermind- live and learn !! We then met up with about 10 other volunteers for lunch and watched the Man Utd vs Chelsea game- revitting stuff!! What is going to happen to mr Rooney?!! Then it was unfortunately time to leave this wonderful place!!! I didn't mind though-I love this hospital!! However I was very cross to discover that I missed 5 births over the weekend- rubbish!! However I was back in time to see my 15th birth- another c-section!! Today the doc and I have been meetin g lots of salesmen from the medical assoc- foetal heart monitors galoreeeeee!!! yeahhhhhh more later!! xxxx
