Today I left London for Bruges. I took the Eurostar so the journey only took a couple hours. About 20min to cross the channel. I arrived in Brussels about 4pm and had to find the correct train to get to Bruges. This proved more difficult than I had thought. The signage did not have english on it. I was finally able to find an information desk and ask. And when I got to the platform there was a family from England and I asked them if the train was going to Bruges and they said they hoped so. So that worked out. On the bus from the train station to the hostel I met 2 girls from Toronto that were headed to the same hostel. We started talking and it ended up that they were going to Amsterdam the next day as well. So that was cool. We arrived at the hostel around 6pm and then I went out and walked around the city for a while. I think I got back to the bar around 8pm. With the room you were able to eat cheap at teh bar and if you ordered a main course you got a free belgian beer sample. There was actually one that wasn't too bad. It was a cherry beer. At the bar I ran into the 2 girls from Toronto and we sat and talked for a while. We ended up walking around the city a little at night too.
