I am writing this while on a train from Edinburgh to London Kings Cross. The countryside in the Uk is beautiful. The trains are really fast and I have not had to pay anything to reserve seats. The Britrail pass was well worth the money. Aparantely, the trains to London were all down yesterday because there was a train accident and the train took out the power lines that run above the train tracks. So it is a good thing that I did not book a train yesterday. I am on one of the only trains running today, the one before and after was cancelled. So it was a good thing I made the reservation last week and chose to go around 11am.

Yesterday was fun in Edinburgh. I saw the castle and the military museum. All were really cool. I took some photos, but it is difficult in Scotland because it is so rainy. Its weird, you can go out and everything will look great and then all of a sudden it will start to rain. But it will only rain for like 15 min and then the "sun" will come out again. It's kind of like Michigan. But I think they have more frequent showers than we do.

Hopefully when I get to the station in London I will be able to book my Eurostar ticket to Brussels.

An update on my travels. I do not have the days in front of me so I might miss one.

Friday.

We drove from Oban to Edinburgh. We saw a hairy cow. We ate at a local bar and I tried haggis. It was not too bad. You just can't think about what you are eating. We saw the William Wallace monument. It was a lot bigger than I thought it would be. The days are all starting to run together.

Thursday.

We drove from Skye to Oban. We did another nature hike which was really cool. It rained a lot but I have gotten used to that. We saw a lot of waterfalls, they seem to be everywhere in Scotland. The highlands was great fun and I had a blast meeting everyone on the tour. We all exchanged emails so we can send pictures back and forth. in Oban, we went to a traditional Scottish dance thing. I tried to learn how to dance. It was entertaining at least. Everyone seemed to have a good time.
