This is the last e-mail you'll get from Mozambique, for i have only one week left! Which i'm really sad about, although i'm pretty excited about getting back to England. The idea of going back seems really surreal at the moment, but i guess it will sink in over this week as we start saying our goodbyes!
This past week has gone well. We've been doing a lot of preparing for our leaving parties and writing speeches and buying presents, so we haven't had that much free time. But we've been doing everything else as normal, going out to Manga and Pastor Manuel's, working in Oasis etc.
Church yesterday morning was really fun - our last one ever (although i get the idea that our church leaving party will pretty much be a normal church... Pastor Sande said last week....and on the 15th we have a leaving party for the team, so everyone must come, we shall all have lunch, and everything we normally do on a Sunday, we'll do on the Saturday!). They gave us capulanas and we danced a lot.
English went suprisingly well on friday -good to finish on a high! We taught them verbs such as to eat, drink, dance, sing etc and we all enjoyed acting them out. I was quite encouraged when we were making sentances with "i eat, you eat" etc, and they actually remembered names of food in English! So perhaps all our lessons weren't just a bit of fun when they never actually really learnt anything!
Pastor Manuel's went better this week, the kids were more attentive and seemed to have a lot of fun. I've really enjoyed working there.
They were probably the main points from this week. I'll e-mail you again (from home!) next week just to fill you in on the end of my time here, but i'd like to thank you for all the support you've given while i've been here. I'm looking forward to catching up with you and boring you to death with stories and photos :)
