We decided to leave Auckland to visit our friends, Graham and Jo, down in Hastings. To save money we decided to take the coach down, the only down fall was the 8hr trip to get there! Amanda didn't quite believe it as it didn't look that far on the map!!
He trip was not as bad as we thought it might be as we were treated to some spectacular views of vast mountain ranges and valleys. We also befriended a local teenager who diets started talking to us just as we went over a large bridge across a river, to introduce himself he spoke loudly behind us and said "a coach crashed off this bridge a few years back"! We couldn't quite believe he just said that to us nuts continued to talk to him on the way into Napier and he turned out to be a good kid.
We arrived in the dark and met Jo once she had figured out where the bus had dropped us off as it was not he usual place. We went starlight to their house and arrived in awe at how gorgeous their house is before having a quick supper, waiting up for Travis (their 15yr old son) to come back from a party a little worse from wear before hitting the hay after a long day.
