This morning, I decided to sleep in and catch up on all of the sleep I lost. I ended up sleeping 10 hours and it was worth it! There were a lot of new people in the house, namely Athinais (from Greece!), and Michael (from Cyprus!). Hassan came at around 1pm, because we had planned to go get a massage after Machu Picchu. There was another strike today for taxis and buses so Hassan and I walked all the way to the Plaza.
In Cuzco, in the Plaza des Armas, there are many girls that harass you for a massage. I am not sure if they were all legit, but I was willing to give it a try. We agreed to the first person that came to us (I know we are easy when it comes to massages...). For 20 Soles, we had an hour massage. I had trouble relaxing because a) I had a runny nose b) i can never completely relax. The massuse kept on telling me that I needed to relax, but I just couldn't (maybe I needed something else to help me relax...)!
After our massage, I was feeling a bit better. My cold was going away, and I was ready to party tonight...my last night in Cuzco...sniff, sniff! I went back home to try to convince everyone to go to Pizza Car...my very last time. It was great, I was with all of the people that I met in Cuzco and cared dearly for (minus the ones that had already left). I spoke with the owners at Pizza Car (two sisters) about the possibility of opening a franchise in Canada (yes, it's that good!). After supper, I made a speach thanking everyone for contributing to the wonderful time that I spent in Cuzco.
We were now ready to party, however only Dillman, Daniel, Caitlin, Hassan and Nilu came out with me, because everyone was exhausted from Morat's birthday the other night. We were meeting with one of Dillman's friends, Nohelia. We all went to Mythology (I figured it would be a good place for my last night since I had the best memories there...). At the club, I had met Emma, too. I ended up switching between Inkateam and Mythology when the music got bad, but we ended up partying until 3am.
It was a perfect way to end my time in Cuzco...I will miss this place a lot...
