Sorry or my late update, but I've already written this entry 3 times during the lat few days and it never worked. Hopefully it is working now...
However, I was very happy when I finally arrived at my family on Tuesday because the flight was long and exhausting( I flew 6 hours from Munich to Dubai, stayed there for 4 hours, flew 13 hours to Sydney, stayed there for 1 hour and finally I flew 3 hours to Auckland where a taxi picked me up and brought me to Tauranga. I watched some movies and tried to sleep during the flight, but all in all it was really borig and at the end I just wanted to leave the plane because every part of my body hurt.
My host family has got a big, beautiful house and a huge garden, a dog, a cat, some rabbits and nine sheep. I have 2 brothers, Ryan (13) and Joel(15) and one sister, Eden (5). They are very nice, I will tell you more about them later.
On Wednesday Ryan showed me the city of Tauranga. We wanted to go there by bus, but unfortunatel it broke down and we had to wait a long time for the next bus. Ryan said I brought bad luck from Austria...However, Tauranga is a lovely townwith about 100,000 inhabitants situated at the pacific coast. Thanks to Ryan I know now where the most important shops are and how I get to the city.
On Thursday Ryan and I went to Mount Maunganui, which is situated at coast. We got to the top and had a great view above the ocean and Tauranga. Unfortunately I fell over when we went down and scraped my arm. But my host mother was very nice and cared about it.
Today I was at school to choose my subjects and to get my uniform.I chose English, Maths, Chemistry, Building and Outdoor Education. My family said thats a goood the desicion and I hope they are right.
There's a time difference of 12 hours between Austria and New Zealand, so I had a terrible jetlag- I couldn't sleep at night and I were tired during the day. But last night I slept quite well, so I think I got used to the time zone now.
