Upon our arrival we were greeted and straight away made ourselves at home. We helped chop wood for the spa pool outside which tony had made a heater for himself which we thought was pretty cool. We had some lunch and relaxed watching some Olympics whilst making the most of the free wifi ;). Sandra went off to pick her kids up and when they all descending back on the house, tony included, we got introduced to the family. We helped tony with the BBQ and his tractor he was rebuilding then sat down for a big roast/BBQ which was greatly received. After a few beers and talks about travelling, which is where they had met, we made the most of the big bed we were offered and got a good night sleep in. We had agreed to head back to Queenstown to attempt the Nevis bungy so we knew we ha about a 7 hour drive waiting for us the following day. We woke up grabbed some of Sandra's amazing banana and chocolate chip muffins and headed south. Sandra had told us about Hokitika gorge which was a short drive from town and she strongly recommended we check it out. So of course we did and were so glad we did as we were welcomed by some incredibly blue waters on the river running through. After our little walk we headed back to the highway picking some hitchhikers up on the way and headed to queenstown dropping the hitchers in Hokitika on the way through.
