I have really loved my time in Texas. There is are a lot of things to love, music, food, waterways, the people and the space. Often you hear the expression the biggest in the state, the country or the world. Sometimes with the caveat at some poiint or for that time. Not unlike my trip to Ireland where everywhere you went you heard the best in all of Ireland. What happens when you combine Irish blarney with Texas bravdo - the best and biggest in Texas, of course, which is what I found at an Irish pub on the riverwalk.
It does take awhile to get used to official buildings with just the flag of Texas and no US flag. Texas has that right because they were a separate country when joining the union so retained the right to fly their own flag alone.
I want to send my thanks to everyone who has sent me emails or left me messages as I continue on my trip. It is great to hear from everyone. I miss you guys.

Kate and Weyman You have brought back great memories of our visit to San Antonio. We loved the Riverwalk and the peaceful solitude at the Alamo. The food was fabulous.
