There is so much to do in San Antonio but I only had a few days. I think this was a good time to be here as kids are in school and it is a weekday.
Riverwalk is a must both on foot and via the boats. Love it, Love it. I don't think I would walk on the outer edge after having a few drinks though. However it appears drowning is not a problem as it is only about four feet deep.
St. Fernando Cathedral is breaktaking. Confession was available but since it has been a long time for me I don't think there is near enough time. I did see a guy come in kneel before the alter and set down his major ounce 7/11 drink. Times they are a changing.
Governors Palace is very cool but appears was not really used by the govenor but for a short time. It was actually a residence for the captain of the presidio.
The mercado building is very air conditioned so was a nice break from the temps. If you do not like hot weather Texas is not for you. There is shopping everywhere but I need to watch the dinero so I steered clear of the shops.
BBQ is a must and the brisket here was sooooo good.
