All of the trains were on time except the one leaving San Antonio. We did not know it at the time but the train had some kind of electrical problem and was delayed while repairs were done. It was interesting to see how different people handled the delay. I just waited it out. I am not on a strict timeline so just took it in stride. One guy literally stomped his feet, I named him Blondie, and shouted he would never take the train again!! All I could think of was for the love of all things please do not sit next to me. An older man came up to me and said no one should ever take the train, I named him Cowboy. I suppose he hoped I would jump on the complaint train. I asked if he had ever experienced delays when flying or driving? Good point he muttered and moved on to a more willing participant. Don't get me wrong I was not looking forward to hanging around the station waiting for the train but not sure how having a little fit is going to speed things up.

When the train arrived one of the current passengers got off the train for a break while the train was readied for departure. I named her Loud Talker. At this point the station is filled with tired anxious people just wanting to get on the train. I was grateful I had a sleeper for this leg because my intention was to go back to sleep. Loud Talker and Blondie started talking with anything but their inside voices. Loud Talker and Blondie began to discuss the idiocy of selfies. I think I can speak with certainty that no one wanted to hear their conversation but we had no choice. They went on and on about how stupid selfies were and described in excruciating detail the many, many selfies they have seen. I so wanted to take out my camera and take a selfie. Just right there amongst Loud Talker and Blondie start taking the most self-indulgent selfies possible. I stopped myself as I know, as they say in internet lingo, better not to engage the trolls. From selfies they moved on to complaining about the train in every way imaginable finally we heard the merciful statement from Loud Talker, I am going to get back on the train. The rest of us exchanged knowing looks and there was an audible sigh of relief as she left the room. So we now know Blondie and Loud Talker distain selfie takers but are in favor of noise pollution
