Today we got an early start and left Lobuche at 4900m for Gorak Shep at 5180m (doesn't sound like much but to your body it feels like it's way higher) where we were going to quickly drop off our stuff grab a quick lunch then head off to Everest Base Camp. Last night in Dinboche was cold. Damn cold. It's the first time I was pretty much shivering all night long. It was snowing when I went to bed and nighttime lows were around -5C. Today we started the day at about 9am and left Pangboche for the next stop on our trek Dingboche at 4400m. The trek wasn't easy but it wasn't that hard either. Today we woke up in Pangboche and were going to do a day trek to Amadablam Base Camp. Our Sherpa told us it was going to be a difficult climb because of about 3-hours of steep uphill, and the cold and windy weather. I felt strong and healthy so I was as prepared as I could be.
