We had very interesting competition during our first semester. It was a cooking competition and it was much more than just a making food to your friends. We were five teams and all the teams had to do dinner with starter, main dish and dessert to rest of the teams. After the dinner every participant had to give number between 1 and 10. We should consider the food itself, service and decoration. We collected the votes to individual envelopes and then we sealed them. After the last dinner we opened the envelopes and calculated the average points of each dinner.

We had change to taste wonderful dishes around the world and every participant gave their special flavor to their food. I, Kasper and Marcus were the last team and our menu was following: starter: lime & chili Tiger prawns and mussels with green salad. Main dish: roast beef with Mediterranean flavor and red wine sauce served with crispy potatoes, carrots & onions and red cabbage salad with walnuts, raisins & vinegar. Dessert: Skyr delight with berries and hot chocolate with Finnish twist (Minttu viina). Our fabulous dinner ended up being second best and we were of course very disappointed. Johanna and Christiana won the competition and their dinner was also amazing.

Johanna and Christiana deserved their victory even though you can hear bitterness from my voice. All the teams spend time to plan and make preparations to their dinner and there weren't any flops. There were always some special quests (friends or family members) joining our dinners and they also gave their votes. Winners got lots of fame and glory. Yesterday we went out to eat because it was good bye for Marcus and Simen. We were supposed to pay winners dinner but Christiana couldn´t come to dinner.
