Something about my studies here in Iceland: Some other exchange students might surprise to hear that I'm also a student here. In first two months I went every week to University but usually just to gym. I had only one course and it was Icelandic Culture. I basically skip the first month's lectures because I was so busy with my other "things" and also Marko and Otto visited me. Icelandic Culture course was very interesting and we had to read one saga and three famous Icelandic novels. We also had to do one assignment and we could choose whatever topic about the Icelandic culture. My topic was Drinking Culture in Iceland. I broke my laptop about a month ago and since then I have been visiting university more often.
I want to finish my master's thesis here in Iceland. I had two different questionnaires related to my thesis and I hoped to get enough answers from the different Icelandic manufacturing companies to do the empirical part of my thesis. I have already done my bachelor thesis and I can use the same theoretical part in my master's thesis. I send hundreds of e-mails and made dozens of calls to different companies. It was difficult to get contact to the right persons and I cave up the hope many times. Eventually I got answers from three different manufacturing companies and my Professor back in Finland showed me a green light and said that I can do the empirical part with those answers.
I was very worried that I don't get enough answers and I have to return back to Finland with empty pockets. Now I will have a creative break and I will travel and relax a little bit. I will start to analyze the questionnaires on beginning of February. I will tell later more about my topic and writing process...
