My good friends, Marko and Otto came to Iceland on 8th of Sep. I wasn´t actually sure how long they are going to be here. I thought that maybe 9 to 10 days but finally they stayed for 12 days. We had great time together and I could write a novel of the funny and crazy things what happened. For that I´m too lazy and I´m just going to tell some high lights…
Everything didn´t went well at the beginning. When boys came, Otto´s bag was in Copenhagen, they got caught in the customs (too much alcohol) and they missed the bus. First days went to wondering around Reykjavik´s streets and bars and on Friday we to the rafting trip. Rafting trip was nice and boys get known with the other exchange students.
On Monday we rented a car. We were supposed to drive around the Iceland. We rented the car for three days because the lady from the information point said we can´t do it in two days. We can´t? Actually we did it in 31hrs (over 1500 kilometers) and we had plenty of time to visit the most fascinating places and took those compulsory tourist pictures. We didn´t had any exact plans where to go and we borrowed Lonely Planet guide to our trip. I like that kind of traveling that you don´t have any specific plans. We read the Lonely Planet while we were driving and stopped in the interesting places. Last day we went to the Blue Lagoon which is the most touristic attraction here in Iceland. You can see the pictures about our road trip and they will tell you more than a thousand words.
From Wednesday till Saturday we just chilled out in Reykjavik and had some parties every night. To be honest, we consumed also some alcohol beverages during those last days. I would say that boys got along with the locals and exchange students quite well. Boys left on Sunday (20th of Sep.) at 4.50am so we decided to party until that. It was very nice that Marko and Otto came and we also made a promise between us: we all will start healthier life. Studying, sports, healthy food, movie nights…
