Wet and Wild. All feeling a bit lazy to day so no alarm. We got up about 10,00, Decided to have breakfast at Sizzlers for a change where they had all you can eat buffet. The breakfast was good with some wierd stuff such as jello, donuts and crispi cakes and lots od paenut butter,
The wether was overcast and cloudy but still warm. Wet and Wild is part of Universal Studios and not very far. My driving is good now and i am used to the traffic lights and turnings. We parked ok and went into the park. We were impressed. The centre of the park was a lagoon area with lots of lounge out chairs, tables etc. We found three and got some towels. The lagoon has a wave machine which goes off every quarter hour. The water was warmish, Jordan decided he would go on the extreme water rides. One is like being flushed down a loo and another has a death slide drop that makes you free fall. Suffice to say I did not go on these.
The weather got hotter and the temperature was well into the 80;s. Lovely. I read a book and lazed. Martin and i went on the slow river ride which were large tubes you lazed on whilst a gentle current took you around a winding course. Jordan joined us on this one. Stayed on this for ages. Great fun. I had a whippy ice cream and later we had slush drinks. Marin was still pink from thr previous day and was even showing legs!!1.
We left at 4.30 having had a lot of sun and tons of relaxation, A great day.
Came back to the hotel where Martin and Jordan played some pool.
Every where was quiet as the sci if convention was gone. No more seeing strange people dressed in even stranger costumes. We walked to a BBQ place, Bahama Grill, which based itself on Caribbean influence. A a bit Key West style. I had ribs which were the largest ones I'd seen. Very nice.
We walked back tired after all the lazing and ready for leaving tomorrow. Looking forward to Key West and Miami.
