Universal studios day. Up early 7pm and breakfast . All you can eat to fuel us up for the day. As this park is only a few miles from the hotel we were there on time for 9am opening. The car park was huge and long travelaters helped in the walk from the car. The universal logo world was at the entrance to the park. There were no queues and we were in promptly. We had decided to get to as many rides without our fast passes starting with the transformers 3d ride. We got on this ride no problem but half way it broke down. We were offered a re ride which we did. This ride was good, you were in ride cars that moved and there were huge 3d scenes where the transformers interacted with you. A great first ride. We then did another 5 rides in an hour and a half. These were Simpsons, men in black, disaster and mummy returns. Men in black was good where you had to zap aliens as you passed through scenes. I failed to make the grade. The scenery and lead up to the ride was authentic and very clever. The Simpsons was another 3d ride where it appeared you were on a roller coaster . It was very funny with typical Simpsons humour. Disaster was set around twisters and simulated what it would be like inside a twister. Not so good as the others as you were stood still. There was however a good holograph of Christopher valkine. The mummy returns was a more typical story line where you are in a dig under ground looking for a professor. However you were strapped in cars which suddenly went backward and down and were lunged in darkness. Great ride. We stopped for a rest . It was hot with temperatures at over 80 f. The crowds have now got bigger. Whilst I was looking after the bags Jordan and Martin used their fast passes for fear fall and rock it. Fear fall took you up vertically and then dropped you. The rocket was a huge huge roller coaster. Far bigger than any at Alton towers that twisted and turned with numerous loops. Both Jordan and Martin looked a little pale after coming off those two extreme rides. Fast passes were used which saved 45 minutes of queuing.I volunteered to look after the bags!!!

We also did the shrek and minions rides which we used the fast passes as over an hour wait. Minions is the newest ride and very funny. the shrek one was 3D and did not live up to its promise.

We left the park quite late.

Back to the hotel, Went out for dinner to TGI Friday. Lots to eat and we all agreed a good day all round.
