All feeling very lazy to day. Decided to try the all you can breakfast at sizzlers. Very good.martin and Jordan went to the hotel swimming pool and I stayed in writing up my blog and getting a bit of a rest. We left the hotel at 2 to get to disney. We had decided to stay late so felt we could not manage an early start. The drive went smoothly. It was about an hours drive. The traffic was quite heavy. The disney area is huge. We drove for a long time before we came to the magic kingdom part. No signs telling us where to park but we found a space very near the enterance. We caught the paddle steamer over to the main entrance. This gave good views of the park. After the usual security checks we were in the disney park. There was a large parade happening and the main square was full of people. We stayed to watch and waved to all the disneys characters. We had to get the fast passes as disney had changed the system and you were allowed 3 fast passes only which you could choose the ride and the time. We could not get thunder mountain but got pirates of the carribean for 7pm and the water one. It was a bit disappointing. We decided to go around the park in order and started with tomorrow's world. I had an app on my phone which told you the latest waiting times for all the rides. There were long queues for most of the rides which was disappointing. The consequence of this is that we did not do Many rides and those we did appeared tame by Islands of adventure standards.
The magic kingdom castle was not open as renovations were going on. It did not stack up to hog warts castle and looked quite plastic.
There were tons of people and even more kids. There were also hundreds of strollers ( buggies). Special stroller parks were set up and there were everywhere.
We went on the pirates of carribean and we were not impressed. Poor people who had queued for an hour to see this. Only animated figures and dogs as you rode on a boat. It all appeared quite dated and not magical. We stayed for the night parade at 9pm.the floats were all illuminated and this was spectacular especially the dragon one. See photos.....
We did not stay for the fireworks as quite tired and all disneyed out.
Getting back to orlando we had a meal at Pizza Hut which was quite good and retired to sleep off the day.
