Day 75: 16/3/13
The office doesn't open on Saturdays but we were still supposed to meet there at 9:30. There was noone there when I got there though! A German guy came soon enough. He's on a different team but none of his team were there either. He was saying he moved to commission only this week and hasn't made many sales. So that's not good. I don't know if I'll be moving to that too quickly! Chloe our manager came fairly soon afterwards but we still had to wait until about 10 for some others on the team.
We stopped for breakfast and were out on turf shortly after 11. They had told us that we had a team target set by Alex and once we got that we could go home. She wouldn't tell us what it was though. She said it would be better if we didn't know but that it was easy between 3 of us. I asked if I could walk wit someone for a while as I wasn't getting past the not interested people and wasn't getting many bills. They said to go on my own as I would see that Saturday was easy. I was annoyed about that as I had only really gotten Tuesday with the manager and she was busy tht day sorting out the girl that was sick, so we didn't do many doors. On Wednesday she was with me in the morning and said shed come back and she didn't. On Thursday she was supposed to come back to me in the evening and didn't either. Friday Doug was supposed to come with me and he didn't. Today I asked and they said no! It's fairly annoying!
It was raining on and off today so it wasn't a great day to be walking around! I had to buy an umbrella in the morning. I got a bill in the very first house. It was an older woman and her husband was asleep in a chair. From the way she was talking it sounded like he was dying. So there was no way I was selling to her!
Most people just didn't want to hear about sales today. I got three more bills anyway, which was the same as yesterday- four bills. The second one was a man in his pyjamas who said he was going to work soon. There were medical books around so I think he might have been a doctor. He wanted to sign over when he heard the cheaper rates but he wouldn't do it at the door. He kept saying he would look it up later and think more about it. I nearly sold him but couldn't make him sign today!! The next bill was a woman with a speech impedement- I hadn't a clue what she was saying. She was on a good deal anyway but I knew if I tried to sign her she wouldn't pass the verification call!!
Finally I got an older man who had two properties. He only lives in one but had electricity in both. Our discount counts for the daily supply charge where the other companies don't so he would save money being with us, especially in the property he couldn't use! It took forever to get him signed up because he couldn't find his bill and the. Couldn't find his id..... Eventually we got it sorted! He is definitely going to get a cheaper bill! As he had two properties it counts as two sales so now I have a new pb!! I can't imagine that I'll keep it up!
Chloe collected us after that. It looked like our target was 10 because after I got those two sales we were on 10. The manager only got one today. One got three and one got two, everyone else finished on one. So I don't know why they were telling me Saturday was so easy!
I did nothing for the evening then- just watched tv and chilled. I Skyped mam and Dad aswell who were getting to go to a wedding - well for some!!
