Greetings!

I will write about about last 24-hours (because it was pretty nuts) but first I have to fill in about this weekend. A scary majority of our cast is sick...and for the first time, we put in covers. Now, most shows have understudies, swings (people who can fill in for multiple roles), etc...we somehow ran out of people. There is one girl who covers both Lindsay & me (one? really?)...meaning we can't be sick at the same time...cause what happens then? Well, the Trio has a similar situation. There is one girl who covers all 3 of them...so they can't all get sick at the same time...right? Wrong. This weekend, 2 out of 3 of them were sick with no voices. So Kara (who plays Rusty) called out on Saturday. Meaning we got to the theater early to put-in Lauren as Rusty (the understudy to the Trio) and Meghan into Lauren's part (Lauren's in the ensemble, Meghan is the ensemble Swing). PLUS Sara (who plays Wedy Jo, one of the Trio) had no voice...so she lip synched to Amanda (ensemble/Lindsay & my cover) who sang for her backstage. Following all of this? It was nuts!!! And poor Lindsay was also sick, but didn't feel she could call out because we just didn't have enough people. For Sunday's show, Kara came back in, but Sara called out and Lauren filled in for her.
