Greetings!
Well, tour is done. What a whirlwind it was. I never did figure out how many miles we traveled or how many shows we did. But I do know that in the 4 1/2 months we were on the road, we hit over 60 towns in over 20 states. Quite an accopmlishment, CBL!
The last two weeks were wonderful for me. My amazing friend Cody came to visit and sat through the show a whopping 3 times. He deserves some sort of medal for that!! (plus he brought me gorgeous roses...thank you, Cody!!!) We finally came to New England and I got to see lots of family and friends. The first show brought both my parents, my Uncle John & Aunt Karen, and family friends Bengie & Arthur. Mom stayed the night and we had an amazing mother/dughter sleep-over. The next day brought family friends Lolly, David & Elaine, and my high school drama director Tom. Thank you SO MUCH to everyone who came out. It meant the world to me and then some.
The show had a really successful closing. We had a blast with our final show and the audience was super appreciative. Plus we had a final dinner/party at TGI Friday's that was just a great way to go out. And flying back to NYC Karen and I got upgraded to Business class and flew in style. All in all, it was a perfect way to wrap things up.
I now have my Equity card in hand (!!) and will be taking a blog haitus until July when I start up CBL yet again at the Beef & Boards Dinner Theater in Indianapolis, IN. If you're anywhere nearby in the months of July or August (or just want to come for a visit) I'd love to see you! http://beefandboards.com/
Until then...
Thanks for joining me on my travels!
