Relax Day!! My mind got the better of me a little in the night and maybe the after effects of the cacao meant I didn't get to sleep all the night. None the less I excepted this and started my day being thankful for everything and everyone that was presenting themselfs in my life. After breakfast I made my way down to the meditation hall and started meditating: today I was able to calm my mind quickly and although my mind wondered I found I was able to bring it back and watch it without judgement. Every time I meditate I learn new things and bring light into the unknown which is very empowering. I wasn't going to do any yoga today but after finishing my meditation decided to warm up and do a little yoga aswell. I was able to feel the energies and movements along with the chakras with ease today and although my mind tried to tell me I was tired I realized I was not. After a short yoga session and some relaxation I felt very energized and ready for the day - a rare feeling for me that usually takes a bunch of coffee and sugar. I am actually moving out of my room today into another with the other Australian guy - Cameron as we have another girl by the name of Andrea arriving today. I took what was left of the morning and did some reading which has turned into one of my favorite things to do here. All my actions, decisions today seemed to be charged with not only energy but great power and direct from the heart as opposed to the intellectual mind - how confusing that can be. Although I am excited for the second week of classes and all the exciting things ahead I try to disconnect from these future events and not allow them to govern my day to day life which I am starting to realize is where all my happiness lays. A short walk for some groceries and down to the dock to do some observing and writing before the rain started. In the evening I had to move my things into my new room downstairs and make way for our new roommate Andrea. I noticed tonight when I ate my vegetables (brought from a different place and one where ladies are not so friendly) the taste was bland and I almost felt sick after eating. Making me think that what we eat can also be charged with energy; a home grown garden cared for with love produces a far more nutritious and tasteful plant that then that grown on mass scale and pesticides.
OBSERVATIONS:
- High energy food from good sources
