Day 123 (Sunday 18th February 2007)
After yesterday's heavy one, we all just kind of lounged around the living room all day today. It was another scorcher, so Ria and Dan's air conditioning kept plodding on, now probably into its fifth consecutive day!
Ria and Dan did make one small trip to Dan's mum's to collect all of their gifts and cards from last night's party. The rest of the afternoon pretty much consisted of present opening...Ria's favourite past time.
Australia lost to New Zealand again...gotta' love watching the Aussies lose! They're not even no. 1 in the world anymore! When that finished we watched Melbourne Victory beat Adelaide UTD 6-0 in the Hyundai A-League grand final...exciting stuff!
With nothing else much to do, Marc reflected on his world trip and his current situation with Sarah. He reached the conclusion that he was missing her and ready to go back to Queensland. He checked for available flights back to 'Brizzy' for Wednesday and phoned Sarah up to see how she was.
Although Sarah was missing him too, she was nowhere nearer to knowing what was getting her down and seemed neither happy nor sad to hear of his intentions of a return flight. There's some doubt right now as to whether a team of ten psychiatrists, five neural specialists, Derren Brown and Mystik Meg could work out what was going on inside that girls skull!!
With the wind fully removed from his sails, he thought it best to just come home. Then, after getting some sound advice from his wise old Uncle Ian (pitty he never put his wisdom into practice with any of his 50 wives), Marc turned to 'Plan B'.
Plan B: To take whatever's left of our money and blow it on the most exuberant and extravagant 2-months of our lives. Live an uninhibited, crazy, adrenalin-filled life in Queensland and New Zealand. To simply let our hair down and have a blast...the best time of our lives! We would miss out on a lot (Fiji, Chile, Argentina, Brazil...), but gain so much more! There was absolutely nothing to lose.
Excited with this new plan he phoned up Sarah. It would take a bungy jump off the moon, strapped to Robbie Williams in his 'Rock DJ' pants to excite Sarah these days, so Marc took her "Yeah ok, but I'm not promising anything" as a good start!!
So Marc booked his flight to Brisbane and went to bed thinking of the wildest stuff we could possibly do...
Back At The Farm
With the house to myself it was very quiet! With so many people living in one house it's usually utter madness, so it felt a bit odd for it to be so silent all day! Sean popped round for a bit to keep me company and then brought round little Jessie and Stacey as well.
It was bloody hot so after a dip in the pool and some dinner I sat down to watch a film in the air con. I watched about 5 minutes of it and then Mum rung up! I spent the next 3 hours on the phone to mum followed by another 4 on the phone to Kaileah! Ok, so thats a very slight exageration but only slight! Miss you loads!
Not long after, the family returned from the show! After they went through everything they had won over the weekend, (which was just about everything!) we all sat around for a drink as we do. Madness had returned! And thats just the way I like it! So bunging jumping while being strapped to Robbie Williams might not be able to cheer me up, but these lot certaintly can!
PS Finally got that package you sent over Sarah's mum...thanks very much, however, think twice before sending tea cakes by 3-month post to Australia again...still can't get that taste out of the mouth!! Love you x ...
Day 124 (Monday 19th February 2007)
Ria took her house and skyline keys to work with her...so Marc couldn't actually leave the house!
Instead, he moped around the house, watched a re-run of the Fulham v Spurs FA Cup match, ate loads of food and got to work on 'Plan B'.
With this being Ria and Dan's first day of quitting smoking, they returned home from work in pretty good moods and once gone off to bed early, they left Marc up on his own to watch crap on the tv and continue his work on 'Plan B'.
Back At The Farm
Got up in the morning and headed off to Tamborine Mountain with Wendy, Eola and Cameron to pick up some more horses! We picked up 5 including 3 foals which brings the total up to 24 they have here at the moment! Half of them are clients horses, but thats still a hell of a lot of horses!
Had a very lazy afternoon and did nothing except play with Cameron! Which basicly involves a lot of hiding from imaginary elephants and being used as a human climbing frame! Great fun!
As I have had some trouble sleeping Wendy gave me one of her sleeping tablets. She said that she only normaly takes half of one but she gave me a whole one as I needed to catch up on my sleep! I had only had a couple of glasses of wine with my dinner so was a bit shocked when all of a sudden I turned around and the room started spinning!
I tried to make my way into the living room to watch the final of 'So you think you can dance'. I hit the door and the wall on the way in and then staggered across the room until I finally fell down on the sofa! Much to the amusement of Eola and especially Andy, it appeared that the sleeping tablet was working a bit too well!! I felt completly drunk! I sat there talking crap for an hour or so and watched the tv, although I have no idea what happened, what I was doing or saying! Atleast everyone else found it funny!
PS Thanks for all 12 of your messages Marc's mum!!!!!!!
Beth and 4P, good to hear from you guys...
