Day 51 (Wednesday 6th December 2006)
Today we pretty much spent the whole time uploading our photos on to the website. Something went wrong with one of our memory cards and the latest disc of snaps have come out distorted (as you can see above)...only some of the best pics we've taken then, such as holding koalas and the Adelaide Oval!!
On top of that, a whole underwater disc of us scuba diving in the Gili Islands has got scratched up so bad the computer won't recognise it! We'll see what we can do...
In between taking full advantage of Ria and Dan's broadband, we went down 'Woolworths' to do some shopping. Woolies is like a massive supermarket over here - wierd! You turn down about three roads to get to woolies from Ria's, but we still had to stop and ask some Ausssie dude for directions! We bought a few groceries and came back and cooked up a nice big cottage pie with garlic bread for everyone, followed by a nice thick bit of mud cake!
Day 52 (Thursday 7th December 2006)
We got up early to phone home. Good to speak to you guys and miss you all loads! It wasn't long before Marc was back on the internet again updating the website.
Whilst on there we booked our ferry tickets to Kangaroo Island, or K.I. as they like to call it around here! We leave tomorrow morning for Sarah's Birthday and return back next Wednesday. We can't wait...there's supposed to be loads of cool stuff there.
For lunch we took a drive in to the 'CBD' to meet Ria, which again we seemed to find without getting too lost. It's pretty much just a big business district with high-rise buildings and a shopping centre in the middle. We have no money so Marc wouldn't let Sarah shop!
When Ria got back from work we went down to the Ingle Farm shopping centre to help her with her weekly shop. Boy can that girl shop. She treated us to loads - she's such a little sweetie! Ria and Dan have an old phone they are lending us so we also picked up a prepaid starter kit whilst down there.
After packing away a year's worth of supplies (Ria's weekly shop), her and Dan helped us set up our new mobile phone. Our new mobile number is 04485 93407, but most of the time you folks will be able to catch us at Ria's.
Ria and Dan have been terrific and they're both just so laid back. We really enjoy their company and there's even talk of them joining us for a bit of travelling around Australia after Christmas, which should be a load of fun!
Marc finished off yesterday's cottage pie and everyone else had pizza and he spent pretty much the rest of the evening back on the computer.
So tomorrow we're off to the Island of kangaroos...we fully expect to see hundreds of them! Apparently we stand a good chance of seeing a duckbill platypus and some wild koalas in the trees too! We'll keep you all posted soon...
PS Well done to Arsenal for winning their Champions League group!! Can't believe they've drawn Liverpool away in the third round of the FA Cup!!!!!
Sorry to here about old Enzo! Hope he's better soon...
Also we like the sound of the galaxy and teacakes you sent us Sarah's mum!!
Good to hear from you Danny boy...leave us a message soon you massive scrote!!
