So, apparently they do celebrate Halloween in Spain. My senora told us that it is a new thing for them, and usually just little kids dress up. But considering that every where we go out at night is full of american students, we all decided to dress up anyway. The one thing I noticed is that the Spaniards who were dressed up went for all of the scary costumes - all weekend (even during the day) we saw people with full face make up on. They were goblins, vampires, and monsters mostly - which made walking down the street very scary.
My friends and I dressed up as the 7 Deadly Sins and I was wrath. It was so hard to think of costumes since they really dont have costume stores here. Our costumes turned out well though. We got plenty of weird looks while we were on the Metro at night, but it was fun and once we got to the club everyone else was dressed up too! I really just was not expecting to celebrate halloween here, so it was a great surprise. If only Spain would surprise me with Thanksgiving too....
