Seriously the whole "study" part of study abroad is really tough right now. Especially after my huge end of the semester trip!! This weekend I went with 4 friends to Granada in the south of Spain to visit one of my friend's girlfriend. First of all, we stayed in the most bizarre location - on top of a mountain in hippie-central. Our hostel owner was a 27 year old man from Wisconsin who literally spent the weekend smoking in the lobby. So, apparently they do celebrate Halloween in Spain. My senora told us that it is a new thing for them, and usually just little kids dress up. But considering that every where we go out at night is full of american students, we all decided to dress up anyway. Last weekend, I went to Portugal with an organized group of American students from Madrid. We left at midnight on thursday (ugh!) and arrived in the southern Portugal town of Lagos on Friday morning. This weekend I went to Prague to visit my friend Tim for his birthday!! After taking back-to-back midterms, I still had to travel for 9 hours in order to reach The Czech because of taking public transportation and my layover.
