This weekend I went to Valencia, a city on the Western Coast of Spain. We left at 6 am on Friday, took a 6 hour bus, and did not arrive in Valencia until 4 pm! I stayed in a hostel with 6 other St. Joe's students and one of our friends from Wake Forest. Our hostel room was possibly the smallest room I've ever seen, we couldn't even walk through the aisle between our bunkbeds! It was still one of the best weekends ever though! We went out Friday night for Valencia's famous paella, rice with a mixture of different seafood and it was delicious. Then we had the whole night to explore the beautiful city!
On Saturday, we went to El Oceanografic, Europe's largest aquarium!! The architecture of the aquarium was unbelievable, and it was an amazing day. That night was one of our friend's 21st birthday, so we went out to celebrate.
On Sunday, was spent on the beach, where I swam in the Mediteranean Sea for the first time!!! We were very surprised when we walked into the ocean to discover that we were on our first ever topless beach (we kept our clothes on!) but it was a very interesting experience!! It was a beautiful beach day and such a good end to an exciting weekend!
