We woke up early again today to get ready. Kati flies home today from Jackson Hole airport.
We drove to Grand Teton NP and made a couple of stops on other overlooks on our way. We had lunch near Moose Junction and then drove around to see if we saw any wildlife, no luck.
After dropping Kati off at the airport we headed to Jackson Hole to visit the town. We wanted to be in the area until Kati's plane took off. It is the first time she is flying alone and she is nervous about it. We walked around and found a park to hang around and let Shila run for a while. After Kati confirmed she boarded the plane, we headed back to Moose junction to sit and wait for wildlife. We were there for a long time and there was no activity. We drove through other roads we were told they hang out, but no luck there either. We drove back to Yellowstone pretty late. There were lots of Elks on the side of the road as we drove back, but no moose.
I forgot to mention yesterday when we were at the gas station getting propane I noticed the tow truck had a pick-up truck in its bed with the front all smashed in. Later when we were getting ready to leave I saw the tow truck a few sites from ours. Our camping neighbors told me they hit a Bison the night before. Poor Bison, and I feel bad for them, their pick-up truck which they need to pull their trailer looks like it's totaled.
