It was a long day of driving; the West is far. I got up early to take care of our tanks on the way out and we were on the road by 7:15.
. We made several stops today along the way. After a couple of hours driving we stopped for gas, breakfast and showers. We later scored when we found an authentic Mexican restaurant West of Juliet, IL for lunch.
Our third stop was The World's Largest Truck Stop. It's a huge TA with more stuff for sale than anyone ever needs. Even though we have driven by many times, it's the first time we ever stopped. We then drove across the road for gas at Flying J/ Pilot...sorry TA, we get 5 cents off there.
Later on we stopped in Waverly where Gil had dinner at a pizza place that turned out to be a buffet with other home cooked selections also. He enjoyed it while Kati and I walked Shila.
We made it to Diamond Jo casino for the night about 5 hours after the GPS had originally predicted. At this time I am not sure how far we drove or how long either. I know we changed time zones but the electronic equipment's are not updating the time, but looks like the GPS did. I will look into it tomorrow.
