Last night was rough, Gil uses a CPAP and his had a problem so he has a loaner. In order to use it with our small inverter he shuts the humidifier off. He could not figure how to do that in the loaner and it would not turn on. Presque Isle Casino where we were parked for the night does not allow generators. He was very tired and cranky so we had a hard time falling asleep. Sometime around 2AM he figured out he could take the unit apart and we were finally able to get some rest.
After waking up late we got ready and headed to the Casino for breakfast. It turns out this casino does not have a breakfast buffet or much food at this time for any matter. There is only a small cafe that brings in some pastries from a Tim Hortons. We went back to the RV, made our own breaskfast and then headed out about 10:30 AM.
We stopped for gas at the TA which was normally much cheaper than the rest. It turned out it was not necessary. The Flying J where we stopped to empty our grey tank had the same price and we could have saved 5 cents with the Good Sam discount. I tired to check in Gas Buddy, the the Flying J was not coming up so I was not able to compare the price ahead. Oh well next time we know.
Gil drove about 220 miles until we stopped for lunch at a Chick-fil-A for lunch just outside Columbus. I tried the Spicy Southwest Salad with no chicken and I had it with the Avocado Lime Ranch dressing. It was delicious. All that goodness had to be balanced with Cookies and Cream mill shake of course.
I drove the rest of the way which was only going to be 2 1/2 hours. After realizing we were going to arrive early and not have to take off until later in the morning the next day, we decided not to stay at Wal-mart and go for a campground. We called the CG I had reviewed for tomorrow night and they had a spot. We drove an extra 1/2 hr. to get to it arriving about 7:10. All together we drove about 400 miles. Google says 6 hrs drive. We were just over eight and a half hours on the road.
By 7:30 we were parked and connected to power. The pool looked really good and the temperature was just right - still about 85 degrees F. it was a bummer to find it would close at 8. We took a walk around the CG and called it a night early.
Tomorrow we visit Arc Encounter.
