It's Christmaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaas :D !

Well, I know I'm writing this on Boxing Day so it's a day late but it's still the Crimbo season! On Christmas Eve, Brian, Taz and I went to our friend Jorvik's house for his work's christmas party. Bit odd that it took place OUTSIDE in front of his house, yes in December, as the chinese people here are finding it very cold but, there was a bonfire too so when that got going it was nice & toasty! The party was very nice :) met some new people, practised (some) chinese and also sang a song - it wouldn't be a chinese party without KTV! There was food & drink - free bar (& Bailey's too!) and together with all the xmas decorations made it feel v.festive. We all got given tea lights at one point during the evening as well, which ended with fireworks (again, it wouldn't be a chinese party without fireworks :p) so it was a really cool, special way to spend christmas eve over here.

On Christmas Day, I opened my presents (thanks Yas!) and then went into town, as it's not often you get the chance to go shopping on Christmas Day! Town was actually quite busy - almost how it is in Britain if you go shopping on Christmas eve! In the afternoon, Brian and I went to Taz's school to watch their christmas show. It was interesting to see another college as well, as Taz's is smaller and right in the centre of town but it's surprisingly peaceful and green. In the evening, we went to our christmas show here which unfortunately was outside (brrr!) but was good fun & as always, was very entertaining to watch! No Christmas dinner with all the trimmings for me sadly but quite cool to be able to go shopping :p ! Having said that, roll on next year for mince pies !
