Evening!
Have uploaded the photos from my Changsha trip a few weeks ago, so you can see that Changsha (it's practically down the road) is a lot bigger & more built up compared to Pingxiang: they have a McDonald's...But I think there'll be a McD's in Pingxiang too one day, the city is growing - there's a lot of building work going on around campus as well as on it - massive apartment buildings so I reckon you'll be able to get a Big Mac from Pingxiang one day..
The college has its sports meeting this week - a 3 day long event, which means a break for us and the students (apart from the sporty ones!) Brian, Christina and myself are planning to visit the market tomorrow as it's apparently meant to be very good so that should be interesting. Today has reminded me a lot of England, weather-wise: Much colder, greyer with a definate chill in the air..autumn's coming.
Since joining the gym, I have been very, well quite good, in attending and been to a yoga and belly-dancing class. Belly dancing was great :) v.good fun - yoga was relaxing but definately not up there with belly-dancing on the 'fun' level; I was attempting to contort myself into all manner of positions, a bit like young girls do with their Barbie dolls..needless to say my legs don't stretch as far so did feel it in the morning but, I also left the class feeling very limbered up so I will go again..eventually.
We also went out last weekend - to a bar, ktv (karaoke). I pretty much murdered Whitney Houston's 'I have nothing' which I feel a bit bad about, as I love that song but NB red wine loosens up your throat as much as it does the rest of your limbs
so I have learnt my lesson for next time - can't wait
