Evening all!

Delay in posting again I know but, in my defence, laziness is very rarely the case with being out here, it is because I've been busy & there's been lots to do!

New photos are from Brian's birthday outing which was also Hallowe'en so that was fun :) first hallowe'en abroad too. A surprising number of my students also knew a little about Hallowe'en as well; they knew it was on October 31st which I was quite impressed by! On the monday, we went to the rustic, ye olde chinese restaurant that I think I posted about quite a few weeks back..? The one where the interior is styled on the 'canteen' type restaurants of Mao's day..the others hadn't been so we all went there for a meal & some birthday cake! Which was, incidentally, amazing Chinese cakes are made from very light sponge & have really intricate, eye catching decorations and Brian's was a steal at 68RMB (about £7!!) so good meal + good cake = good times

We also went drinking & dancing afterwards - bit weird as I saw one of my students but hey ho! Back to teaching now and sorting out exams for next month - going to require a lot of co-ordination skills I think! Also have to sort out plans for Spring festival (where we have a month off) & my family's impending visit so definately no rest for the wicked !
