Sunday stroll
Hi everyone! Been a busy few weeks as per here - sorting out exams, teaching etc but last sunday, we managed to find some time to visit a nearby 'mountain': it was, in fact, just a very big, steep hill ! But it was amazing weather, it's still fairly warm & mild here, even in mid-November, so I managed to take some good photos ![]()
Afterwards, we went to a nearby tea-house, where I tried Chrysanthemum tea - as Brian described it - 'tastes like a garden, but in drink- form'. Which sounds weird but it was nicer than that & v.good for you as well apparently! There was also another concert on campus last week which Brian and I attended. We started off standing at the back, which wasn't ideal as we're both short :p but I met one of my students, who managed to bag us some seats at the front on the judges' table! Bit embarrassing making our way through the crowds to actually get to the front, a bit like making your way across a row of people at the cinema to go to the toilet...but it was a really cool evening, v.entertaining event - there was a Michael Jackson tribute dance act which stole the whole show!
Can't believe how quickly its going here - 6 weeks 'til crimbo! There are xmas decorations in Wal-Mart (oh yes, there is a Wal-Mart in town now!) so will go & have a look at those - deck my apartment out so I get in the festive mood. Don't think there's any chance of finding & having turkey this year though
but all the more reason to look forward to it next year!! Ho ho ho!

Ahmed Far as I'm concerned, your uatpde schedule is totally up to you. Just because you're doing something awesome on the internet, doesn't give the internet any right to tell you how.I will say, though, that there's something uniquely thrilling about regular uatpdes in serialized fiction. Having a whole book in front of you is one thing but having a good book produced and made available on a faithful schedule is something really special. It seems that even the best can't keep this up for very long, not while maintaining quality, [cf. life, etc.] but you did for quite awhile, and I really appreciated that.Since you mentioned it, though, why is strong moderation censorship? You wouldn't be denying folks the right to express their views, just the ability to do so right here in the comment thread that you pay to maintain. If you want to scrub your readers' fouler effluvia, isn't that up to you?
