Hi!
If you are wondering where manunda is it is a suburb of cairns. The picture above is cane fields, we have been deep in cane field country since the daintree river to here.
We spent last night in port Douglas and had a look around the town this morning. You don't have to exert yourself very much to break out in a sweat. We spent time on the wharf watching all the tourist boats heading out to the reef for the morning/day, soooo many people, the town was quiet when they had all left! We decided to head inland to mareeba the coffee growing area in the mountains. We visited coffee works at coffee world where they have a museum dedicated to coffee paraphanaelia collected over the centuries. They displayed them in their country of origin, everything from roasters and grinders to pots and drinking vessels. Tonight we had dinner out in cairns on the esplanade together with terry and Warrick and caught up with mick and Kathy, who went on ahead of us yesterday. What a huge place this is and alive with people walking along the promenade, eating out and shopping. Some shops stay open late particularly tourist shops.
