54 miles today. After a day off in San Francisco we got off to a sunny start this morning with NO FOG! That hasn't happened for weeks. Our Adventure Cycling maps got us out of the city through lovely urban areas and along the Golden Gate Park, avoiding big hill climbs. That made me happy!
The day became a mostly relaxing ride along the Cabrillo Highway with only one or two spots with tight blind corners and no shoulders and steep sections.
I chose to get off the bike and walk up those sections as the traffic was quite heavy and fast.
Once out of Daly City the road leveled out a bit and we cruised along with a stop in Pacifica for coffee.
I took more pictures today as we passed by stunning beaches and ocean vistas. We arrived at Pigeon Point Lighthouse Hostel by 3 PM giving us lots of time to enjoy the scenery and watch the seals on the rocks below us.
Since the terrain is now a bit flatter we are planning to ride a longer distance tomorrow (70 ish miles) to Marina.
