The Isle of Capri we just loved. The views, the seaside atmosphere and the shopping, oh my what a lovely place to visit, we wish we had more time there. We arrived by ferry from Sorrento and was amazed how the bus managed to narrowly miss traffic by centimetres lol. After a few token snapshots of the view on the way up, we arrived at the Blue Grotto and actually didn't have a clue what it was until we were there. What an experience, short but beautiful. Made to lay down in a boat whilst a nice looking Italian guy rowed us into a cave where all the bright blue coral reflected by sun in the water and on the ceiling of the cave. After this little magical experience, we were then escorted towards another part of Capri where we took the chair lift up and back down the cliff side - what a view - the photos will show you :) Then onto lunch, another three courses, I don't know how the Italians stay so thin if they eat like this! We then travelled by bus again to the centre of Capri where all the masses of tourists are and had a bit of time to do some window shopping. I bought some lemoncilli (cannot be bothered to check spelling) thinking it was like a lemon sauce or something. Then realised it was 30% alcohol in a small 200ml fancy bottle lol. To think they were selling this stuff in baskets outside the store front like it was lemonade....would never see that in Australia. Back onto the ferry for 45 mins and a 3 hour bus trip back to Rome again ready for our Intrepid two week tour.
