Well far from kicking our heels and tapping our fingers we have managed to have a lovely time while waiting for our steering to be finished. (Although I have to say HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE!!!)We have crossed lots of jobs off our to do list (mostly John really), diesel tanks have arrived and are fitted (no leaks!) and we have even fitted new filler capes in the cockpit. We have also done lots more sightseeing in Barcelona - including the chocolate museum (mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm), the botanic gardens, the Spanish Village, the Olimpic Stadium and Parc Guel. We have spent more time with our friends here which has been really nice, and had a very premature going away party! The steering will hopefully be finished tomorrow - but I am sure we have said that before, so we are not holding our breath! We promise to be in Mallorca in time for Sarah James Ben and Lizzie though.Other news is that Ellen has had a haircut (not drastically short - can still be put up) and the girls have been really good on all our outings, just about keeping the project book up to date!!!We will be very sorry to leave our friends here but John and I both have such itchy feet we will need some calamine lotion soon!! It is not looking like we will have good winds to sail there (if we are ready soon) so we may end up motoring to Mallorca - which means that at least we will have a flat sea for our first voyage since stopping here (although a bit noisy!).We are gearing up for the change to life on anchor, back to hand washing, no blow heaters, getting up at night to see if we have dragged, being stingy with the water…. But more peace, lots of fun in little helix (dingy) and much much cheaper!!!
