I hate blow horns & children with a passion at the moment, the reason being is: I went to a football (grid iron) game the other night with Chris & Renae, the B.C Lions were playing. It was really awesome to watch & the atmosphere is just crazy. There are some boring bits just because it drags out so long, they stop & start all the time but when they have primo as plays its just wicked to watch. Although sometimes its hard to see where the ball actually went or you look away for a second then look back & the score will be different & your like when did that happen? But really cool, One of the players will get a break through & run like 50 yards before he gets tackled. Everyone stands up & shout GO GO GO!!! Oh & if someone does a s*** throw your like YOU MORON WHAT KIND OF THROW DO YOU CALL THAT! Its great fun. I also got a big B.C Lions claw hehe I had to have one. Oh yeah I must explain the hating of children & blow horns, there were 4 kids behind me & they blew their blow horns right in my ear the whole night. There we're also blow horns in front of us but the ones behind we're just annoying. See when you have a blow horn aren't you suppose to use it at the right time like when someone scores or an awesome smash this guy up moment happens??well apparently not these kids they just blew it again & again gggggrrrrrrrrr.
Every year here in Van they have the Celebration of Lights, which is a big fireworks competition where 4 Countries compete to put on the best display of fireworks to music, some very cheesy music I must add. They have it Wednesdays & Saturday nights for 2 weeks. They're the most impressive fireworks I've ever seen, don't think anywhere else could beat it. They have it at english bay ( a beach here) & there's this massive barge out in the water where the fireworks are let off. Tons of boats are out in the harbour to watch & at least 40,000 people show up to watch. Wednesday Steph & I watched it from English Bay then Saturday night Chris & I watched it from Kits Beach. You've got to see it from both locations coz it's a different experience each time. Kits beach is further off & you see the fireworks from afar but it looks amazing as the fireworks light up the city behind them & the harbour, you can see the flashes from everyones cameras going off along a stretch of the beach. Its really just something else and English bay your right up close to them & they go off right above you.
We had a massive BBQ at our place last night for Christina as she's leaving to go back home to Colorado USA. The house will be really quiet without her, since she is really entertaining & has the most outrageous stories. I think Drews sister from Toronto might be coming to live here for a month just to see how she likes Vancouver. We've also got Hannah living here now, she's Drews girlfriend & had been living in Africa for 6months. Ooh I also found a cat in our back alley & named him Arnie, he pretty much lives here now lol.
Might be going to Seattle next weekend as it is another long one, I love how the Canadians seem to have all these long weekends I think theres one at least once a month.
why Canadians are so friendly:
a)they're not actually more friendly than anyone else but because they neighbour America, the Americans make the Canadians look good
b)They are stoned all the time
c)all of the above
My personal answer is 'C' all of the above. Well 'A' just explains itself doesn't it. 'B' is they are actually are bunch of stoners, now I can't enlighten you on Canada as a whole coz I haven't seen it all yet but in the Proveince of B.C esp Vancouver it has a permanent stench of weed....Seriously! But this stoner thing explains two ends of a scale the friendly Canadians & the far end of the scale, which would be the Crazies. Now just on the subject of Crazies I saw a homeless guy climb to the top of a street post for a quarter. I have to say it was quite an impressive climb, kinda like how you'd see a guy climb a coconut tree lol. But yeah so these are my theories so far, let me know your thoughts lol
