Friday 4th March – Last day, sad. Packed the bags and forced the suitcases shut. 2 Kilos over, should be okay hopefully, we will just have to drink the red wine at check in otherwise. Had a last dip in the pool and caught the sun for a while. We went down to Hillary’s Breakwater for last meet of everyone today, felt sad.
Came back and just pottered around to fill the day with nothing, it’s hard to do anything on these days, they drag when you know you are going somewhere big late at night. Left Holdcroft Hotel (retained its 5 star status after an early 4 star downgrade... ha ha!) at 10.00pm to meet the troops to drive to the airport for 11.00pm. Said the sad and slightly teary goodbyes at the departure gate as we couldn’t hang around as things get too emotional and tears start flowing out of control. A quick goodbye is best and put the other things in writing afterwards when you can’t breakdown in tears. Here we come, long journey home, 19 hours of flying ahhhhhh.......... oooouuuuchhhhh!!!

Vicki Wow, where did those three weeks go to! The goodbyes are always going to be the worst part of that trip down-under, and of course the loooooong flight home. Glad you had a fab time. See you soon. xxxx
Mom/Dad D Oh dear, sad sad sad, but good to hear you had a great time. If only it wasn't so far away. Family farewells and long trip home, not a good combination but has to be done xxxxx
