24th February – the big 40!!!!. All up early to make our way to Cottesloe to the Naked Fig for breakfast. Met up at Dave’s and convoyed down. Very nice restaurant and ho boy a huge cooked breakfast. Judy opened her presents and cards before we ate and Ade opened his after. Well worth the drive through rush hour to get there. Temp in the day is rising, had a short walk to settle the food down. Went back to Dave’s for a drink and had alook through his hol snaps from Melbourne. Decided to come back home and prepare for this evenings BBQ. Had to stop at Lakeside for Ade to pick up a new pair of sunnies as his broke the other day, disastrous not to have sunnies here. Can back and pack the eski for the the BBQ at Hillaries Boat Yard at 5.30. Sat in a good spot out of the way and watched the sun set over the boats. So so hot at humid, temp reached 40 degrees on way down to yard at 5.30. Came home at 9pm and temp still at 32 degrees, only option to do was to jump in the pool for an hour or so with a Bailey’s perched on the side. Reached bed at 11pm still at 28 degrees. They forcast is for 36 -38 degrees for the next week.
